Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard of Hearing (DDBHH) individuals in British Columbia continue to encounter systemic barriers to equitable access in education, health care, employment, and other essential services. This community-driven report explores how a growing shortage of skilled accessibility and communication professionals contributes to these barriers. Drawing on input from more than 140 professionals and stakeholders, the report examines the scope and impacts of the shortages and shares practical recommendations to guide meaningful systems change across B.C.
